Job summary

Flowtec Group in the United States is seeking a Power and Controls Designer with 3–10+ years of experience to develop EI&C design packages for municipal and industrial projects.

Remote work is available; you will collaborate with design teams, project managers, and clients to ensure compliant, safe, and efficient electrical systems. The role emphasizes PLC/HMI architectures and control panel design.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of electrical design experience in industrial facilities.
• Experience with NEC and code interpretation.
• Proficient with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• EIT or PE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine and specify electrical equipment, instrumentation, and controls for monitoring and operating systems.
• Develop power system studies and the EI&C portion of P&IDs.
• Produce logic diagrams, control narratives, and wiring diagrams.
• Create and maintain an instrument index.
• Interpret and apply relevant codes, procedures, standards, and specs.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines.
• Design PLC/HMI architectures with Ethernet, ControlNet, and Remote I/O.
• Develop control panel designs, power studies, site plans, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
