Job summary
Dahl Consulting is recruiting for a Power BI / Fabric Platform Engineer to support a large enterprise retail analytics environment. This remote, 12-month contract focuses on platform engineering and governance rather than report development.
You will design, configure, operate, and automate Power BI and Fabric services, emphasizing security, access control, and scalable processes across the organization.
Qualifications
- Hands-on administration and support for Power BI and Fabric platforms.
- Experience with Power BI tenant administration and workspace governance.
- Experience supporting enterprise platforms or shared services.
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and identity governance.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and systems-thinking skills.
- Experience with platform automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and optimize Power BI and Microsoft Fabric platform capabilities.
- Automate workspace provisioning, role management, and environment setup.
- Develop governance models for tenants, workspaces, capacities, deployments, and access controls.
- Collaborate with cloud infrastructure, IAM, security, and data platform teams.
- Create reusable engineering patterns, documentation, runbooks, and procedures.
