Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a BI Engineer III to join a growing technology client as a fully remote role. The ideal candidate brings deep Power BI expertise, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to independently deliver scalable reporting from semantic models.

Responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements, designing enterprise-grade dashboards, and creating optimized semantic models. 5+ years in BI/Analytics with AI/ML familiarity is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BI/Analytics Engineering with advanced Power BI expertise.
• Strong SQL, dimensional/semantic modeling and enterprise reporting practices.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and lead requirements-gathering sessions.
• Experience designing dashboards and reporting from concept to implementation.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and modern analytics technologies in BI environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and KPIs.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create semantic/data models to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Write and optimize complex SQL for reporting and validation.
• Manage BI projects from requirements through deployment and adoption.
