Piper Companies is seeking a BI Engineer III to join a growing organization in the travel industry. This role is fully remote and focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing Power BI reporting for business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of BI experience, expert Power BI skills, strong SQL and semantic modeling, and the ability to translate requirements into scalable analytics. Collaboration with data engineering and QA teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BI/analytics experience
• Expert Power BI development and administration
• Strong SQL and semantic modeling experience
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions
• Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of DAX; Python/R/Git a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions
• Develop and maintain semantic models to support self-service analytics
• Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and ad hoc requests
• Monitor report performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data accuracy
• Support Power BI administration, governance, and performance tuning initiatives
• Conduct user training sessions and provide support for reporting inquiries
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and QA teams to improve reporting capabilities and data accessibility
