Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Business Intelligence Engineer to join a leading organization within the travel and hospitality industry. The BI Engineer will partner with business stakeholders, delivering reporting and analytics solutions through Power BI, and will work closely with end users to understand needs, develop dashboards, and provide insights with strong SQL and semantic modeling expertise.

Qualifications

5+ years in BI, Reporting, Analytics or related field.
Expert-level Power BI report/dashboard development.
Strong SQL and semantic data modeling experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts in analytics.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visual analytics solutions for business stakeholders.
Gather requirements directly from end users and translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions.
Build and maintain semantic models that support consistent metrics and self-service reporting capabilities.
Optimize Power BI performance, administration, and reporting functionality to ensure a seamless user experience.
Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting requests, dashboard enhancements, and analytics support.
