Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Business Intelligence Engineer to join a leading travel and hospitality organization. You will design and maintain Power BI dashboards, gather user requirements, and deliver analytics solutions with strong SQL and semantic modeling.

You will work directly with end users, translate business needs into scalable reports, optimize performance, and act as the primary contact for reporting requests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Analytics, or a related field.
• Expert-level experience developing reports and dashboards within Power BI.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience designing and maintaining semantic data models.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing requests, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and how they can enhance reporting and analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visual analytics solutions for business stakeholders.
• Gather requirements directly from end users and translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions.
• Build and maintain semantic models that support consistent metrics and self-service reporting capabilities.
• Optimize Power BI performance, administration, and reporting functionality to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting requests, dashboard enhancements, and analytics support.
