Job summary

RESPEC Inc. is seeking a full-time Power BI Developer to turn student loan data into dashboards and reports for the Minnesota Office of Higher Education.

You will create a stable Power BI Service environment, write SQL queries, and validate data from multiple sources while moving legacy Tableau and Crystal reports into Power BI. You will design and maintain dashboards for diverse business users, implement secure access controls, and provide training, daily status updates, and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of advanced Power BI development.
• Robust experience validating student loan data, including forbearance data.
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with senior leadership and strong presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards for a variety of business users.
• Write and extract SQL queries, validate data quality across datasets, and perform root cause analysis.
• Migrate legacy Tableau and Crystal Reports into Power BI.
• Set up Power BI within the Power Platform, ensure security and accessibility, and meet performance requirements.
• Deliver Power BI training, mentor non-technical users, and provide daily status reports to the client.
