Job summary

McBride Consulting is seeking a PowerBI Developer for a banking client with strong data analysis, dashboard design, and semantic modeling experience. You will build and optimize Power BI reports and collaborate with a Data Engineer to turn curated data into actionable insights for business decisions.

The role involves developing AI-enabled reporting experiences using Copilot Studio and Microsoft Fabric, improving governance, performance, and self-service analytics across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Experience in data/BI development for financial services or banking.
• Power BI report and dashboard development, including publish and workspace management.
• Data modeling (star schema) for reporting performance.
• DAX for KPIs, measures and analytical logic.
• Strong SQL and data integration across sources (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
• ETL/data transformation to cleanse and standardize data.
• Data visualization for both operational and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
• Partner with Data Engineer to transform curated data into insights.
• Improve reporting performance, governance, and self-service analytics across the business.
• Work with Excel to build detailed reports with heavy data requirements.
• Support project management activities and maintain contractual compliance.
