Job summary

Abramson Labor Group, a leading employment and workers' compensation law firm based in Burbank, CA, invites a Post-QME Paralegal to join our team in a full-time, remote-friendly role. You will handle medical records, coordinate diagnostics, prepare subpoenas, and manage communications with clients, providers, and defense counsel within California WC procedures.

We seek detail-oriented, deadline-driven professionals who can own their cases, stay organized, and advocate for injured workers.

Qualifications

1+ years of California workers’ compensation paralegal or case management experience.
Working knowledge of QME/AME procedures and WCAB litigation practices.
Experience preparing subpoenas and filing documents such as DORs through EAMS.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
Ability to work independently and stay productive in a remote environment.
Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, private workspace.

Responsibilities

Own the post-QME stage of the caseload, ensuring all records, studies, and authorizations are completed.
Review QME report data and identify outstanding records requested by the evaluator.
Coordinate with clients to gather treatment history and submit records to QMEs/AMEs.
Prepare subpoenas for medical, employment, wage, and other records; manage service and compliance.
