Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine is seeking a Research Administrator to provide comprehensive post-award support, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient management of sponsored projects. The role collaborates with PIs, departments, and central offices to promote proactive, customer-focused service.

Remote work is available under VCU's Flexible Work Arrangement. Applicants outside the Richmond area may apply, with on-campus attendance for training as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years pre/post award research administration experience may be considered for slotting.
• Must interpret complex government regulations and contractual terms.
• Excellent customer service and strong written/verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.

Responsabilidades

• Distribute monthly reporting including effort summaries, financial projections, and MER review confirmations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the PI, department, sponsor, and central offices.
• Establish, monitor, and reconcile budgets per sponsor guidelines.
• Manage effort reporting, salary allocations, and ECC compliance; coordinate payroll adjustments.
• Review and process grant transactions including subawards and cost transfers.
• Prepare and review financial reports (forecasts, burn rates) aligning with budget.
• Coordinate award modifications such as no-cost extensions and personnel changes.
• Ensure timely submission of sponsor reports (RPPRs, financials, closeouts).
• Support audits, maintain grant records, and uphold documentation requirements.
• Provide financial guidance to PIs and research teams for grant stewardship.
