Job summary
The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to support Strategic Capital by researching and evaluating grant partners using data science and AI insights.
The role reports to the Director of Strategic Capital and focuses on allocating philanthropic resources effectively to accelerate responsible tech solutions globally. We value a fast learner with experience in strategy or investing, comfort with data/AI topics, and strong synthesis and communication skills to translate
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in strategy, consulting, or investing.
- Comfort with data and AI topics; curiosity matters more than sector background.
- Ability to learn quickly and ask sharp questions in discussions.
- Strong ability to synthesize information into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis to identify nonprofit partners aligned with PJMF’s strategy.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based recommendation materials to support funding decisions.
- Monitor trends across the data and AI for good ecosystem and distill insights.
- Summarize learnings from grants and external sources to inform future investments.
