Job summary

Healthcare Anchor Network (HAN) seeks a Policy Associate/Manager to conduct policy research, analysis, writing, and advocacy on social determinants of health, with emphasis on housing, workforce development, and food security. The role includes communications management to educate and grow support for the anchor mission.

The position is remote, full-time, starting September 2026, with a 4-month probation and potential 3-month extension.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree or 5+ years of post-college work experience (7+ years for manager).
• Proficient in policy advocacy and communications (press releases, op-eds, media databases).
• Proficient in project management and coordinating multiple initiatives.
• Strong writing ability to convey complex ideas clearly and engagingly.
• Ability to collaborate with high profile stakeholders professionally.

Responsibilities

• Shaping overall communications strategy for HAN initiatives.
• Writing/editing/storytelling, content support, design, slide decks, reports, newsletters.
• Maintaining and updating internal/external communications platforms including social media.
• Planning HAN events, convenings, and presentations with leadership support.
• Coordinate policy research, analysis, and development of policy documents.
• Support travel and arrange meetings as needed.
