Job summary

FedWriters, Inc. seeks a Policy Analyst to support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health, focusing on accessible plain-language materials for LEP communities.

This remote, full-time role emphasizes policy analysis, research, and developing communication resources for national health priorities. You will prepare reports and briefs, review data, and participate in biweekly status meetings while supporting contract deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in policy analysis, data analytics, public policy or administration, computer science, or a similar field of study.
• At least three years of experience in policy analysis or program analysis and evaluation, conducting research, or related work.
• Must be eligible for an HHS Public Trust security clearance.
• Master's degree in data analytics, public policy or administration, computer science, or a similar field of study.
• Federal government, government contracting, or public health experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze federal plain language and communications policy and guidelines.
• Conduct research in support of contract deliverables, such as English literacy promotion materials, community outreach materials, meeting agendas, annual reports, and final reports.
• Conduct research in support of plain-language content development and accessibility and the promotion of English-language literacy.
• Prepare written reports, analyses, briefings, memoranda, and technical documentation.
• Provide research and technical support, including literature review; data collection; data entry/coding; data cleaning/diagnostics; intermediate data analysis; feasibility analysis; drafting components of papers/reports/presentations; data archiving preparation; and general scientific, technical, and project support duties.
• Review, analyze, and compile data, technical information, and related research.
• Help to identify issues and emerging trends.
• Attend and contribute to project status update meetings at least biweekly.
