Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is expanding with a brand-new facility in Poland and seeks an Installation and Service Engineer to manage installations across Europe, troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, and provide technical support to customers.

The role requires a BSc in a scientific discipline, 5+ years in field service, fluent Polish and English, and willingness to travel regularly throughout Poland, the UK, and internationally.

Qualifications

• BSc in physics, chemistry, materials science, or related field.
• Fluent in Polish and English.
• 5+ years in field service, installation, or similar technical role.
• Thorough vacuum technology and thin film deposition knowledge.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly in Poland, the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide system installation and support for KJLC/KDF PVD tools.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies or coating systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and field modifications.
• Interact with customers via phone, email, video conferencing.
• Travel to customer sites across the UK and Europe for installation, service, and support activities.
• Deliver customer training on system operation, software, and hardware.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Perform helium leak detection and basic analysis using an RGA.
• Build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical advisor.
