Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking an Associate Buyer to support a government contract focused on Petroleum, Oils, & Lubricants. This role can be supported remotely, enabling flexible oversight of sourcing for military operations.

Responsibilities include sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring packaged POL products, utilizing QPLs and PIDs for compliance, and developing cost-effective procurement plans to sustain readiness and supply chain reliability across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Chemical Management, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of procurement or supply chain experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Source packaged petroleum products, oils, lubricants, and chemicals for military operations.
• Validate suppliers against QPLs and PIDs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop pricing strategies and procurement plans to maximize budget efficiency.
• Analyze market trends and supply risks to support informed buying decisions.
• Lead bid processes, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure on-time delivery and quality.
