Job summary

State of Oregon seeks a PMO Manager (Information Technology Manager 2) to lead the Project Management Office within the Secretary of State’s Office. The role directs strategic projects, oversees program execution, and ensures alignment with organizational priorities.

You will work with agency leadership, manage budgets, and drive organizational change while coaching a team of six staff. In-state remote work is available with supervisor approval.

Qualifications

• Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience.
• OR three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience supervising staff with authority to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, or discipline, or to address grievances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the PMO and provide leadership on strategic projects and initiatives.
• Project Direction and Consultation: remove obstacles and ensure projects progress through phases; confirm goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Strategic Planning and Organizational Management: align initiatives with priorities; review budgets and legislation for PMO involvement; coordinate with leadership.
• Organizational Change Management: create templates; report progress, risks, readiness, and adoption metrics.
• Staff Management: direct daily PMO operations; provide feedback and manage workload of six direct reports; assign and review work.
