Job summary

CloseKnit is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (1099) for fully remote, virtual care across MD, VA, and DC. The PMHNP will perform evaluations, diagnose, manage medications, and plan care within a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires active PMHNP and RN licenses with multistate capability and at least two years of relevant experience. Telehealth experience and strong documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Active PMHNP and RN licensure in applicable states.
• Multistate licensure preferred with Maryland, Virginia, or DC focus.
• Minimum of 2 years PMHNP experience.
• Experience with patients aged 13+.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations using evidence-based tools.
• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions.
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications per guidelines.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans with the clinical team.
• Coordinate care with therapists and providers; refer when needed.
• Provide patient education about diagnoses and treatments.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Participate in quality improvement in a virtual care environment.
