Job summary

CloseKnit is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (1099) to deliver virtual psychiatric care across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. This fully remote role involves evaluations, diagnoses, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning via telehealth.

The PMHNP must hold active PMHNP and RN licenses with multistate coverage, at least two years of PMHNP experience, and proficiency in medication management.

Qualifications

• Active PMHNP and RN licenses in applicable states.
• Multistate licensure preferred with MD/VA/DC focus.
• Minimum 2 years of PMHNP experience.
• Experience treating patients aged 13+.
• Proficiency in psychiatric medication management.
• Experience with telehealth and remote workflows.
• Familiarity with Athena One EHR.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans with the clinical team.
• Collaborate with therapists and other providers; refer when needed.
• Document patient encounters and progress notes accurately.
• Comply with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Support quality improvement in a virtual care environment.
