Job summary

CloseKnit is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (1099) to provide virtual, fully remote psychiatric care across Maryland, DC, and Virginia. The PMHNP will conduct evaluations, diagnose conditions, manage medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team via telehealth.

The role requires active PMHNP and RN licenses in relevant states, with multistate licensure preferred. At least 2 years of PMHNP experience and comfort with Athena One EHR are expected.

Qualifications

• Eligible PMHNP with RN licensure in applicable states.
• Multistate licensure preferred; primary coverage Maryland/VA/DC.
• Minimum 2 years of PMHNP experience; ages 13+.
• Experience with telehealth and virtual care workflows.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations using evidence-based tools.
• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions; manage medications.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with therapists and other providers; refer as needed.
• Provide patient education and thorough documentation; ensure compliance.
