Job summary

CloseKnit Primary Care is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our virtual care team as an independent contractor (1099). The PMHNP will deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management via a secure telehealth platform across MD, VA, and DC.

The role emphasizes patient-centered, evidence-based care, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and adherence to state regulations while expanding access to behavioral health services.

Qualifications

• Active PMHNP and RN licensure in applicable states.
• Minimum two years as PMHNP, licensed in MD/VA/DC preferred.
• Experience with telehealth and virtual care workflows.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations using evidence-based tools.
• Diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions.
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications per guidelines.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans with the team.
• Coordinate care with therapists and other providers.
• Educate patients on diagnoses and treatments.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
