Job summary

New Day Health Systems Inc. in Catonsville, MD seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our patient-centered team. You will conduct evaluations, diagnose illnesses, and manage personalized treatment plans including psychopharmacology, within a collaborative care model.

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health NP (PMHNP-BC).
• DEA license and prescriptive authority in Maryland.
• Experience in psychiatric evaluation and psychopharmacology.
• Strong knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication, empathy and patient engagement skills.
• Experience with EHR/EMR documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for new and existing patients.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and medication management protocols.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated.
