Job summary

Backpack Healthcare seeks a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality psychiatric care to children, teens, and young adults through a collaborative telehealth model.

You will join a clinician-led team that values integrity, innovation, and integrated care delivery, with a flexible schedule offering part-time or full-time options. A Georgia PMHNP license and board certification are required, with growth and mentorship opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral PMHNP degree from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted PMHNP license in Georgia; DEA preferred.
• Board certification as PMHNP-BC.
• Experience or passion for working with youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telehealth psychiatric evaluations and establish diagnoses.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans with families.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications; adjust as needed.
• Provide supportive therapy and psycho-education to promote resilience.
• Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators for integrated care.
• Educate patients/families and maintain compliant EHR documentation.
