Job summary

Backpack Healthcare is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide compassionate care to children, teens, and young adults via remote telehealth. You will join a clinician-led team focused on integrity, innovation, and integrated care delivery.

The role requires a Master’s or Doctoral PMHNP with an active Georgia license and PMHNP-BC certification. Telehealth experience, strong judgment, and empathy are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s or Doctoral PMHNP degree.
• Current, unrestricted PMHNP license in Georgia (multi-state or compact preferred).
• Board certification as PMHNP-BC.
• Experience or passion for working with youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telehealth psychiatric evaluations to assess mental health needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients and families.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications and monitor outcomes.
• Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators for integrated care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, options, and medications; document in EHR.
