Job summary

Rula is seeking licensed PMHNPs in California to join its contracted provider network as independent contractors. The role centers on delivering high-quality psychiatric care via telehealth, with administrative work handled by Rula.

Minimum qualifications include CA license, PMHNP certification, DEA, PMP, and 1+ year of psychiatric practice. Compensation features per-visit payments and coding bonuses, with biweekly direct deposit.

Qualifications

• An unrestricted license and valid DEA number registered in California.
• 1+ years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience with mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, managing common psychiatric medication and treatment plans, and managing crisis situations.
• Independent licensure and/or working with collaborating MD, as required by state law.
• Certification as a PMHNP by the ANCC.
• Registration with state PMP.
• No suspension/exclusion/debarment from federal healthcare programs.
• No adverse actions by any nursing board in the past 3 years.
• A masters or doctoral degree from an accredited university in psychiatric mental health nursing.
• The ability to provide telehealth.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments for patients seeking mental healthcare, including diagnostic assessments, workups, and treatment planning.
• Manage care for patients with depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
• Access and utilize our EHR & telehealth platform for patient care.
• Coordinate with Support and Care Coordination teams.
• Allocate adequate time for each patient—60 min for initial visits and 30 min for follow-ups.
• Rula handles credentialing, billing, and marketing to let you focus on patient care.
