Job summary

ThermalWorks is seeking a Service Manager, Preventative Maintenance (U.S.) to lead PM strategy, execution, and performance for ThermalWorks equipment deployed across the United States. You will own PM contract delivery, renewal performance, field execution quality, and long-term equipment reliability, while startup/commissioning and corrective maintenance lie outside the scope.

You will guide PM standards, define scopes and frequencies, manage renewal strategies, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 8+ years management experience.
• 5+ years technical, data center cooling/HVAC experience.
• Proven experience building and scaling preventive maintenance programs.
• Demonstrated leadership of distributed field teams.

Responsibilities

• Own PM standards, task lists, schedules, and documentation.
• Define PM scopes, frequencies, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure PM execution aligns with design limits and warranty requirements.
• Develop and manage tiered PM offerings and renewal strategies.
• Track PM compliance, findings, and required follow-up actions.
• Lead U.S. PM teams and approved service partners.
• Enforce safety, conduct, and quality standards.
• Ensure documentation, reporting, and close-out.
• Drive improvements using field data and trend analysis.
• Support hiring, training, and development of service personnel.
• Manage service requests with timely triage, dispatch, and SLA alignment.
• Establish standards for service call documentation and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with field teams to optimize parts and escalation pathways.
• Coordinate with warranty and reliability activities.
