Job summary

Jordan & Skala Engineers is seeking a Plumbing Engineer/Designer in Tampa, FL to own plumbing design within a BIM environment and support projects through construction. The role focuses on multifamily and mixed-use developments, coordinating with MEP teams and ensuring code-compliant, buildable solutions.

Strong Revit proficiency, AutoCAD familiarity, and a solid understanding of plumbing codes are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Revit BIM workflow for plumbing.
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes in dense, multidisciplinary projects.
• AutoCAD proficiency; Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design domestic water, storm drainage, sanitary waste and vent, and natural gas distribution systems.
• Size, select, schedule, and specify plumbing components including fixtures, specialties, and equipment.
• Support fire protection design (including pumps, standpipes, and specialty systems).
• Produce clear, coordinated documentation for new construction and renovations.
• Lead plumbing design for multifamily and mixed-use projects including high-rise and podium configurations.
• Coordinate plumbing systems in a real-time BIM workflow with other trades.
• Support construction administration including submittal reviews, RFIs, field observations.
