Job summary

LMI is seeking a Junior Platform Engineer to support IronSled, a Platform as a Service designed to host applications in secure federal environments. You will be an initial member of a small, cross-functional team responsible for supporting tenants, maintaining platform reliability, and improving the overall user experience.

Your primary responsibility will be managing technical issues and service requests submitted by teams using IronSled.

Qualifications

Foundational understanding of Linux, containers, Kubernetes, cloud services, networking, and CI/CD concepts.
Experience troubleshooting technical issues methodically.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to users with varying levels of experience.
Strong ownership, organization, and follow-through when managing multiple issues.

Responsibilities

Manage tenant issues and service requests from intake through resolution.
Troubleshoot Kubernetes, deployments, CI/CD pipelines, identity, networking, cloud services, and platform integrations.
Communicate issue status, required information, next steps, and resolution clearly to tenants.
Escalate complex issues to senior engineers while maintaining ownership and coordination.
Document solutions, recurring problems, and platform procedures in the IronSled knowledge base.
Identify repetitive work that can be improved through automation or platform enhancements.
