Job summary

LMI Government Consulting seeks a Junior Platform Engineer to support IronSled, a Platform as a Service for secure federal environments. You will be an early member of a small cross-functional team responsible for tenants, platform reliability, and user experience.

You’ll investigate issues across Kubernetes, deployments, identity services, cloud infrastructure, and platform integrations; automate recurring tasks, improve docs, and grow with the platform. U.S.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, software development, systems administration, or technical support.
• Foundational understanding of Linux, containers, Kubernetes, cloud services, networking, and CI/CD concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues methodically and communicate clearly with users.
• Familiarity with Git, GitLab or GitHub, command-line tools, and platform logs.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenant issues and service requests from intake through resolution.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes, application deployments, CI/CD pipelines, identity, networking, cloud services, and platform integrations.
• Communicate issue status and required information clearly to tenants.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers while maintaining ownership.
• Document solutions and platform procedures in the IronSled knowledge base.
• Identify repetitive work that can be automated or improved via platform enhancements.
• Assist with tenant onboarding, access requests, and environment configuration.
• Contribute to platform maintenance, testing, and monitoring as skills grow.
