Job summary

Sinch is seeking a Platform Engineer III to join the Cloud Platform Infrastructure team. You will help build, shape, and optimize infrastructure underpinning Sinch products, collaborating with engineering to drive improvements and automation for reliability.

You’ll work on distributed systems challenges, scale strategies, and ensure secure, fast, and scalable services that power customer communications globally.

Qualifications

• Cloud infrastructure and/or software engineering experience.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Expertise with containers and Kubernetes.
• Terraform IaC for infrastructure management.
• Monitoring/observability with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience with databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with queue-based processing.
• Strong coding skills in Python/NodeJS/Java.
• Linux production systems on public cloud.
• Ability to architect solutions for complex technical challenges and lead initiatives.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other teams to define and implement system requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain cloud-based microservice infrastructure.
• Automate routine operational tasks and remediation processes.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues, monitor system health.
• Ensure datastores operate efficiently and meet performance and availability goals.
• Plan and execute strategies to dynamically scale systems and infrastructure to match customer demand.
