Job summary

RTX is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and implement software and infrastructure enabling scalable, secure AI applications across RTX.

In this remote role, you will develop cloud-agnostic software for AWS, Azure, and on-prem Kubernetes; build SDKs and microservices; collaborate with distributed teams and ensure robust integration with enterprise systems while adhering to security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
• 5+ years experience in Python and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• 5+ years experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.).
• Prior experience developing and maintaining reusable Helm charts, manifests, and deployment templates that promote consistency and portability across environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud-agnostic software that runs on AWS, Azure, and on-prem Kubernetes for enterprise-grade container orchestration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of solutions.
• Build internal SDKs, APIs, and microservices supporting AI workflows across hybrid environments.
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code with focus on performance, scalability, and documentation.
• Integrate platform tools with enterprise systems such as identity management, logging, and governance.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate across remote teams in a highly regulated, security-conscious environment.
