Travis County is seeking a Planning and Budget Analyst to provide independent budget, fiscal, and policy analysis to offices, departments, and the public. The role involves coordinating budget development, evaluating requests, and defending conclusions before the Commissioners Court.

This position supports telework with in-office work at 700 Lavaca Street. A Bachelor’s degree with related experience is required, and a Texas driver’s license is preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required with several years of budget analysis or public finance experience.
• Experience coordinating budget development, evaluation and execution is preferred.
• Knowledge of public budgeting, performance measures and financial forecasting.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate planning and development of the Adopted Budget for assigned departments.
• Monitor budget execution and analyze expenditure patterns for anomalies.
• Prepare economic, social and programmatic research on countywide trends and finances.
