Job summary

Orion Placement is hiring for a plaintiff-side consumer finance attorney. Work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. with a California Bar license, handling an independent docket and advocating for clients in FCRA matters.

You will negotiate settlements, conduct in-depth legal research, and draft pleadings and motions while collaborating with a tight-knit team dedicated to consumer rights.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage an independent docket of plaintiff-side consumer finance matters from intake to resolution.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and advocate for maximum recovery.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Analyze FCRA and related claims and develop litigation strategies.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts; collaborate with team on strategy.

This is a fully remote position — work from anywhere in the U.S. We have offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, but the majority of our team works remotely. Whether you are based in California or another state, you are welcome here as long as you hold an active California Bar license.

Candidates must hold an active California Bar license. This is a firm requirement. Plaintiff-side consumer finance experience and FCRA background are strongly preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a practicing attorney
• Plaintiff-side litigation experience strongly preferred
• Consumer finance law background a significant plus; FCRA experience especially valued
• Strong writing, negotiation, and case management skills
• Self-directed with the ability to manage a full docket independently
• Comfortable working remotely in a distributed team environment
