Job summary

Orionplacement seeks a highly skilled consumer finance litigation attorney in Los Angeles to defend clients in credit card, mortgage, and auto-finance matters. The role requires a California Bar license and 3+ years of relevant experience in state and federal courts or arbitration.

You will draft pleadings, research, and trial-ready briefs, collaborate with clients and litigators, and contribute to class action defense where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license is required.
• 3+ years of consumer finance litigation defense experience.
• Experience defending credit cards, mortgages, auto finance, or similar lending.
• FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, TCPA, and California consumer protection statutes preferred.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience in state/federal courts or arbitration forums.
• Consumer class action defense experience desired.
• Willingness to work on-site at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in consumer finance litigation involving credit cards, mortgage lending, auto finance, and other lending products.
• Handle consumer finance disputes in state and federal courts and arbitration forums.
• Defend claims under FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, TCPA, and California consumer protection statutes.
• Address Rosenthal Act, CCRAA, and related common law claims in CA matters.
• Conduct legal research and develop persuasive litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Collaborate with clients and litigation teams to manage matters efficiently.
• Contribute to consumer class action defense matters when applicable.
• Maintain strong organization and attention to detail across multiple matters.
