Job summary

A premier AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a talented Career Associate Attorney to join their Consumer Financial Services Practice Group. This hybrid role requires a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission, and 5–10 years of substantive litigation experience.

You will independently handle a broad range of consumer finance disputes, lead projects, and supervise junior members in a nationally integrated team.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction in good standing.
• 5–10 years of substantive litigation experience.
• Experience with commercial litigation and the representation of financial institutions is strongly preferred.
• Background defending matters under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and/or Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases, lead projects, and supervise junior team members.
• Strong writing ability, analytical skills, and professional judgment.
• Excellent research, communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
• The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, nationally integrated practice.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle a broad range of consumer financial services litigation, including commercial disputes and matters involving federal and state consumer protection laws.
• Participate in hearings, depositions, motions practice, and other proceedings across state and federal courts.
• Provide legal advice and regulatory guidance, communicate case strategy and developments, and support clients responding to government and agency investigations.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and related litigation documents.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on high-impact matters within a collaborative, nationally coordinated team.
