Piping Project Engineer – Remote with Travel to Orlando

Location: Remote (with 3 weeks of travel to Orlando)

Industry: Gas & Steam Turbine / Power Generation

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our engineering team, you’ll:

  • Apply your deep knowledge of B31.1 and B31.3 Codes to ensure compliance and quality across all piping systems.
  • Lead the charge in interpreting technical requirements, responding to inquiries, and reviewing project specs with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate across teams to develop piping specifications, review drawings, and extract reports from 3D models.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to improve piping systems and reduce costs.
  • Support project execution from kickoff through warranty, ensuring excellence every step of the way.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Strong grasp of piping codes and standards (B31.1, B31.3).
  • Experience preparing technical piping specifications and managing vendor communications.
  • Familiarity with project schedules, deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of piping stress analysis, materials, and hardware.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Smart3D or other 3D modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with ASME Section II, PCC, MSS-SP, PFI Codes.
  • Understanding of welding and NDE processes.
  • Experience with gas turbines, power plants, oil & gas, or paper mills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
