Job summary

Actalent in Charlotte, NC seeks a Piping Designer for a confidential data center project. You will design and detail layouts, provide technical guidance, and check deliverables using CAD and 3D tools, including Revit.

You will work with a design team on schedule-driven tasks, interpret codes and standards, and coordinate with other disciplines while enjoying a hybrid/remote schedule and a stable company culture.

Qualifications

• Proficient in piping design techniques.
• Experience with CAD and 3D design tools.
• Proficient in Revit 3D.
• Strong engineering terminology and industry practices.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
• Understanding of design and associated design documents for assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design and detail layouts with minimal instruction.
• Provide technical guidance for assigned projects.
• Design, layout, and check deliverables.
• Utilize CAD systems, including 3D design tools, efficiently.
• Monitor design and drafting work of CAD personnel and coordinate with other disciplines as necessary.
• Interpret and apply applicable codes, standards, procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
• Provide schedules for work assignments.
• Prepare calculations to support designs.
