Qualifications

• Physician coding experience — Required.
• Experience with E/M coding, outpatient procedures, and minor office procedures — Preferred.
• Specialty-specific coding experience — Preferred.
• CPC or equivalent certification — Required.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes and CPT-4 procedure codes.
• Apply E/M codes across applicable places of service.
• Code minor office procedures, specialty-specific testing and procedures, and minor surgeries.
• Follow established coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance to support physician billing and reimbursement.
• Identify coding discrepancies and documentation issues per procedures.
