Job summary

You will review clinical documentation, assign ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes, apply E/M codes, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. CPC certification required; specialty coding experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Physician coding experience required.
• Experience with E/M coding and outpatient procedures.
• Specialty-specific coding certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes and CPT-4 procedure codes.
• Apply E/M codes across applicable places of service.
• Code minor office procedures, specialty-specific testing and procedures, and minor surgeries.
• Follow established coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance to support physician billing and reimbursement.
• Identify coding discrepancies and documentation issues per procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
