MemorialCare is seeking a Specialty Physician Coder for General Surgery with a focus on Surgical Breast Oncology and General Hematology/Oncology. This full-time position allows for predominately remote work within California. Responsibilities include reviewing specialty coding and billing, ensuring accurate coding for services, and collaborating with clinical partners. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience as a medical coder and expertise in ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS. A CPC or CCS certification is required, with additional benefits offered.
Qualifications
3 years’ experience working as a medical coder in a hospital or physician’s office.
1 year’s experience as a specialty coder in relevant specialties.
Expert knowledge of ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze specialty coding and billing for charge processing.
Ensure accurate and compliant medical coding for services rendered.
Collaborate with the Coding Compliance Manager on coding trends.
