Job summary

A nonprofit integrated health system is looking for a Specialty Physician Coder for Cardiology, primarily remote but must reside in California. The role involves reviewing and coding medical services for reimbursement while ensuring compliance. Requires 3 years of coding experience, knowledge of ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS, and excellent communication skills. Ideal candidates will hold relevant certifications such as CPC or CCS. Competitive pay range of $33.79/hr to $49.00/hr offered.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience working in a hospital or physician’s office as a medical coder.
• 1 year’s experience as a specialty coder in Cardiology or similar specialties.
• Expert knowledge of ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze specialty coding and billing.
• Ensure accurate and compliant medical coding for services rendered.
• Collaborate with management on coding trends.
