Job summary

R1 RCM, Inc. is seeking a Physician Advisor for our remote US-based team. You will review payor-to-payor cases, assess authorization requests, and advise clients on documentation and appropriateness of approvals.

The role requires solid clinical knowledge and independent performance in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates hold an active MD or DO license with at least 3 years of post-residency experience.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted MD or DO medical licensure.
• Minimum 3+ years of clinical experience post-residency completion.

Responsibilities

• Review payor peer-to-peer cases to assess authorization status and documentation.
• Engage with payor medical directors to discuss appropriate authorization status.
• Provide written case analysis and perform reviews across multiple specialties.
• Serve as a clinical resource to staff for documentation and utilization issues.
• Respond to payor and customer inquiries in a timely manner.
