Job summary

ZBeta Consulting, Inc. is seeking a System Design Engineer to develop customized physical security solutions for client projects. You will act as a technical SME, supporting project managers and designers, and contribute to engineering tools and processes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You will lead design efforts, perform studies, and research security technologies while ensuring compliance with standards and delivering high-quality design packages in a remote-first setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security system design and/or security technology experience.
• Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
• Proficiency with Lenel, Genetec, and C‑CURE is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and edit security system drawings and package components.
• Coordinate with project teams on architectural and electrical infrastructure.
• Present calculations and review specifications and submittals.
• Conduct technical studies for cable, power, cooling, and network needs.
• Research products and perform technology assessments.
• Troubleshoot client issues related to codes, standards, and regulations.
• Provide project leadership for System Designers and support PM on design to closeout.
