Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a Physical Medical Consultant to evaluate medical evidence and support disability determinations. The role requires a DO/MD and Oregon license, plus clinical experience and training capabilities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree from an accredited university and current active Oregon medical license (MD/DO).
• Two years of clinical practice experience, at least one year post-residency.

Responsibilities

• Promote cultural competence and respectful, dignity-centered service.
• Review medical and non-medical evidence to determine impairment severity.
• Consult with supervisors and analysts on medical issues and trainings.
• Attend trainings, maintain professional competence, resolve conflicting evidence.
• Protect claimant personally identifiable information.
