Profile

Position Features: The Pharmacy Technician supports a fast-paced pharmacy call center. The applicant must live in one of the following states and be licensed and nationally certified as a pharmacy technician to be considered for this role: AZ, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, KY, MA, MT, NC, TX, WI, or WV.

Purpose and Scope: The Sr. Pharmacy Technician provides high-level support to patients, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare staff to effectively process and provide relevant information within the assigned functions. The incumbent ensures all activities are performed in compliance with company policies, pharmacy regulations, and other regulatory requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain customer database accurately and timely in accordance with company policies; analyze and report data integrity issues as needed.
2. Process prescription requests; input patient prescription and demographic data into applicable systems.
3. Serve as the primary contact for patients and healthcare providers to facilitate customer requests; coordinate with cross-divisional teams for timely and accurate order processing.
4. Act as a subject matter expert (SME), supporting staff, teams, and customers in resolving issues within assigned functions.
5. Mentor other staff as applicable.
6. Assist with various projects as assigned by the supervisor.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma required; an Associate's Degree is desirable.
