Job summary

Bryan University is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Instructor to support our online program and help students develop practical skills for professional careers. You will teach assigned courses, host weekly Zoom sessions, and provide timely feedback on progress.

Candidates with recent Pharmacy Technician experience and PTCB certification are encouraged; teaching experience online is a plus, and strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in a virtual classroom.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a health-related field preferred.
• PTCB Certification required.
• 3+ years pharmacy technician experience (sterile compounding a plus).
• Previous online teaching experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in both an individual and group setting.
• Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs (MS Office, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom).

Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned courses within designated program.
• Host weekly live sessions via Zoom in each course.
• Maintain a flexible schedule that accommodates office hours and 1:1 meetings to provide an excellent student experience.
• Provide students with timely information and feedback on their academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects.
• Conduct outreach to increase engagement with at-risk students.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance and submit final grades in accordance with university policy.
• Actively participate in meetings, training programs, and professional development as required.
• Remain current with developments within the area of instructional responsibility.
• Other duties as required by the faculty job description, SOPs, and other university policies.
