Job summary

Bryan University is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Instructor to empower students through an engaging online learning environment. You will teach courses in the pharmacy technician program, host weekly live Zoom sessions, and provide timely feedback on quizzes, tests, and projects.

The ideal candidate has recent pharmacy technician experience, PTCB certification, and strong communication skills. Online teaching experience is preferred in this remote role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a health-related field preferred.
• PTCB Certification required.
• 3+ years pharmacy technician experience (sterile compounding a plus).
• Previous online teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in both individual and group settings.
• Work effectively as a team member to ensure departmental goals are met.
• Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs (MS Office, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned courses within designated program.
• Host weekly live sessions via Zoom in each course.
• Maintain a flexible schedule with office hours and 1:1 meetings to provide an excellent student experience.
• Provide students with timely information and feedback on their academic progress.
• Conduct outreach to increase engagement with at-risk students.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and submit final grades per policy.
• Participate in meetings, training, and professional development as required.
• Remain current with developments within instructional responsibility.
