Job summary

Bryan University is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Instructor to support its pharmacy programs. The ideal candidate has recent experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician; teaching online is helpful but not required.

You will deliver online courses and provide an engaging virtual learning experience to help students reach their potential. This is a remote, work-from-home position with eligibility to apply from AL, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IN, OH, MD, MO, MT, NJ, NY, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX and UT.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a health-related field preferred.
• PTCB Certification required.
• 3+ years pharmacy technician experience (sterile compounding a plus).
• Previous online teaching experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in both individual and group settings.
• Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs including MS Office, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned courses within designated program.
• Host weekly live sessions via Zoom in each course.
• Maintain a flexible schedule with office hours and 1:1 meetings to provide an excellent student experience.
• Provide students with timely information and feedback on their academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects.
• Conduct outreach to increase engagement with at-risk students.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance and submit final grades in accordance with university policy.
• Actively participate in meetings, training programs, and professional development as required.
• Remain current with developments within the area of instructional responsibility.
• Other duties as required by the faculty job description, SOPs, and other university policies.
