Job summary

Bryan University in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Instructor to deliver online courses within the designated program, host weekly live sessions via Zoom, and maintain flexible office-hour schedules to ensure an exceptional student experience. Candidates should have recent pharmacy technician experience and PTCB certification; teaching online is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a health-related field preferred.
• PTCB Certification required
• 3+ years pharmacy technician experience (sterile compounding a plus)
• Previous online teaching experience is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills in both an individual and group setting
• Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office, Canvas, Cvue, Gmail, Zoom, etc.

Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned courses within designated program
• Host weekly live sessions via Zoom in each course
• Maintain a flexible schedule that accommodates office hours and 1:1 meetings to provide an excellent student experience
• Provide students with timely information and feedback on their academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects
• Conduct outreach to increase engagement with at-risk students
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance and submit final grades in accordance with university policy
• Actively participate in meetings, training programs, and professional development as required
• Remain current with developments within the area of instructional responsibility
• Other duties as required by the faculty job description, SOPs, and other university policies
