Job summary

Centene Corp. is seeking a Pharmacy Coordinator for a remote role supporting the Eastern Time business hours (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM).

The position focuses on developing and coordinating the health plan's pharmacy program, with emphasis on outreach, provider relations, and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of pharmacy experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate multiple software systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years pharmacy experience, preferably in managed care.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Able to handle multiple software systems concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to provider and pharmacy calls regarding prior authorization and formulary process.
• Review pharmacy and override process in compliance with guidelines.
• Track and trend overrides to ensure criteria are met and audit prior authorizations.
• Resolve complaints and grievances related to the pharmacy network with the Pharmacy team.
• Assist Provider Relations and other departments with educating providers on pharmacy processes.
• Assist with pharmacy utilization review and reporting.
• Collaborate with Quality Improvement for meeting prep and transcription of minutes.
• Assist with members’ inquiries related to the formulary process.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
