Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician certification and home state license required.
- Proficiency with computerized pharmacy systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Windows-based software applications.
- Ability to protect member confidentiality.
- Experience in call center or retail/pharmacy settings preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Medicaid/Medicare pharmacy services intake and processing.
- Evaluate and authorize pharmacy requests per clinical criteria.
- Communicate decisions to physicians, staff, members, and pharmacists.
- Conduct clinical and non-medical research to support requests.
- Document information meeting regulatory requirements.
- Escalate complex requests to Pharmacist.
- Handle high-volume calls and data entry.
